I'd like to replace the Celeron M processor in my Toshiba Satellite A85-S107 laptop. Can anyone recommend which processors fit and which would give me a speed increase without breaking the bank?
Instructions on how to do this would be helpful, as well.
Your first step should be to contact Toshiba and see if the bios will support a different processor. If it won't then nothing short of hacking the bios, will allow you to change your processor.

Iv changed CPUs in earlier Toshiba laptops with no issues so you might have luck, check if Toshiba has a similar model with a better cpu or check the in depth specs because cpu support is usually in the chipset and vrm (eg to support FSB533/667 etc and vrm for 90nm/1.3v cpu etc)
