More Information

Hi guys, i'm building a new pc

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/246879-31-guys-think

here's a description:

Case: ThermalTake SopranosRS 101
PSU: OCZ Silencer 610W
Mobo: Asus P5N32E-SLI +
Cpu: Intel Q6600
Cooler: Zalman CNPS9700LED
RAM: OCZ Reaper (OCZ2RPR8002GK) X2
Video: BFG 8800GT OC2 X2
Burner: LG Burner (sata)

this machine is going to be used for gaming and storage, at first i wanted to have a 4x500GB Raid5, 1xOS HDD and 1x Game Install HDD. Then i came to wonder, would it be better to just use one Raid5 and seperate in 3 partitions?

I would be using the Onboard Raid of the motherboard for the Raid5, my main concern is performance, would the performance of my OS/Games be slower than on individual drives or at least equal on the Raid5?

any and all input is more than welcome, thank you in advance.
