Just got a the parts for a new system, having problems with the wd raptor 150 hard drive, it wont auto detect in the bios, seems to power on all cables are conected, it was oem so no manual, ive looked around the net but ive not found any help.
system run down
mb MSI p6n sli platinum
2.4 core2 quad 6600
150gb western digital raptor x
ocz epp 2gb pc2 6400 ddr2 sli cert
nvdia 8800 gt

Are the SATA ports turned on?

Are both the power and data cables plugged in at both ends?
