Im building a new machine using an E4400 and P35-DS3L and was wondering which set of Corsair XMS2 would be best:

[CORSAIR] XMS2 DDR2 2GB PC2-5400 DUAL CHANNEL
2x1GB, DDR2 675MHZ, C4, DIMM 240-pin

[CORSAIR] TWIN2X2048-6400 DUAL CHANNEL
2x1GB, DDR2 800MHZ, CL5, DIMM 240-pin

The 2nd set costs around NZ$20 (US$12?) more so all i need to know is which set is best for the price. thanks.

well im pretty sure that the 800mhz rated ones are just higher binned 675mhz ones...maybe not even.

just go for the 675mhz it will be 100% reliable up to an fsb of 335mhz...good luck

Having owned the 675, my kit was good for up over 800Mhz at C5, and overclocking an E4400 you won't need much more then 335Mhz ram speed, as that would be 3.35Ghz CPU speed.
