what you should do is try to step up on that graphics card, which is really limiting your PC, try to get a 7900GS or 7950GT if its nvidia, or a X1950 Pro or X1950XT if it's ati.
1st one is good for Non SLI setup. If you have to have SLI than the 2nd would be fine. If your not using high resolutions, than the SLI won't be needed, but if you have high resolutions than the SLI might be for you. I would just make sure I use a good video card and not worry about SLI (its over rated).

anyway, i never considered using SLI.
so first one is better...kewl......and also, i considered using 1024x768 resolution at gaming.
At that resolution you can get a better video card, assuming you have the budget for it. Not sure what your budget is for this system. More budget means better overall system
WOW!!! You can get a good system for that kind of $!!!!
What parts were you going to need for that kind of $? Are you re-using keyboard, mouse, monitor (what resolution you using), OS, etc?

everything new, including 19'' lcd monitor, keyboard and all that stuff.
*hmmm*.......7600GT is €122........X1950 pro is €175.....and also i have seen some benchmarks and i can tell that 7600GT can run games of today at high/max settings, and i think that it will be able to run crysis on at least medium settings, 800x600 resolution. that is enough for me, as long as game is playable, i have no complaints. i am not really graphics enthusiast...
You must've looked on some really farfetched tests, because the 7600GT can't run today's games at high settings, it can run at around low-medium. Not only that, but the X1950Pro is about 35% faster than the 7600GT overall.
Here's a X1950 Pro for 70 euros:
HIS X1950Pro 256MB 256bit GDDR3 Dual Link DVI TV HDCP PCI-E Graphics Card
just don`t forget that my limmit is €800
if i want to get some great video card that goes through limit, i will have to take something else cheaper, for example monitor
emp is right, if your building a gaming pc on a budget, the real bang for your buck(or euro) is GPU not CPU. All things being equal I prefer nvidia over ATI (b/c of their terrible linux support), and I can say from personal experience that the 7900GS is a great card.
I'd take a system with a X2 4200(Brisbane) and a 7900GS over a system with a X2 5200(Windsor) and 7600GT any day.
I voting for lower CPU and better GPU. I would get the x1950pro and lower cpu for the $. You won't notice a difference between a x2 5200 and a x2 4200 game wise.
ok......i considered that.....but check mobo......my main question....m2n or m2n4-sli......they have nvidia chips, and i know that i have read somewhere that, when nvidia chip recognizes ati graphic card, it downlocks it or something like that.....
You have 400W...is that on a PSU that came with your case? Those tend to be short on durability and long on pyrotechnics. If at all possible, choose a PSU from Tier-3 or better from this list:

A newegg link isn't going to be useful to you in the UK, but there are some relatively inexpensive FSP units that should meet your needs while providing sufficient quality.
What games do you want to run? If you buy your graphics card from EVGA and decide you need better, within 90 days you can "step up" once, by paying just the difference (but of MSRP, not street price) between the card you have and the better card you want. I'd be very skeptical on a game like Crysis, but on my old X2 3800+ I played a lot of Guild Wars and UT2K4 at 1024x768 on a 7600GT and was satisfied. When I went to 1440x900 however, it wasn't quite as nice so I got a 7900GS for my new e6750 rig; that's been great.

I do, however, agree with emp and others that for a gamer it is better to sacrifice the CPU a little to get a better GPU.
