Ok so i jsut bought a new rig, i have vista 64 and everything is fine. But when i popped in my 8800gtx and installed the drivers everything went crazy on my screen and it eventually crashed my system. I than installed vista 32 same thing than xp 32 and the same thing happend.


Now im using my friends 7800gt and i notticed things kind of stutter. LIke im playing CS:S and the physics are a littler weird. Im using nvidias newest drivers and not the betas


Do you think the slot is busted or that my GPU is messed up

Have you tested the 7800GT in XP with latest drivers on a fresh install? I think the 7800 should still be ok, although it doesnt sound so good for the 8800gtx, if you can try it in another machine if not give RMA a go id say

all my frineds other systems couldnt handle it. ANd running other games its fine i think the 8800gtx is faulty. Its an xfx i think i will get an EVGA
