CeBIT 2008: New CPU and Water Coolers from Thermaltake

If you need good cooling performance but one cooler just isn't enough, there is an obvious solution - just take two instead. It seems that is what Thermaltake's engineers must have been thinking when they came up with the DuOrb CL-P0464 cooler. It consists of two coolers stemming from the Orb series that are connected to the CPU cooling block via heatpipes. Read more

I had an 8800gts and "upgraded" for free to a 8800gt. I purchased this cooler. It lowered my temps around 25c on average under load. The only bad thing about it, is the fact that the fans aren't controlled automatically.

I have 8800 GTX SLI. The DuOrbs were at the limit of their thermal dissipation capability - 55 idle but 84 load. This was stock or worse for load. Replaced with Thermalright HR-03 Plus coolers. 46 idle and 62 load with fans only at 60% (inaudible). The DuOrb might be sufficient for one 8800 GTX but I would play it safe and get the HR-03 Plus.
