More Information

I am creating a RAID 0 stripe of 4 disks for performace in video editing uncompressed.

I will be accessing this RAID from two seperate OS's; Windows XP Pro 32bit and Windows Vista Home Premiere 64bit. My question is, when i format my RAID array, should i be creating a Dynamic disk or a Basic disk? As i have read, Dynamic disks are only supported in WinXP and VISTA ultimate so that means, if i create Dynamic i will have to buy Windows Ultimate. So is it worth it to me to create a Dynamic disk and Buy Vista ultimate or try to create a Basic Disk RAID 0 Array? I have no idea what the advantages of Dynamic are?

What is the RAID controller? (i.e. are you building a hardware RAID or a software RAID?) And how big is the array?
