I have pc running on XP and i get to the welcome screen and type in my password. It accepts the password, but the screen goes blue and when the screen comes back, it logs me off. I cannot gain access to my pc. HELP

Some hint here:

after you log on to Windows, a Windows XP-based computer may only display the wallpaper, a black screen, or a blue screen
