More Information

I currently have a Dual 3Ghz woodcrest system that I use for Virtual machines/gaming and Video editing. Although it handles everything just fine I would love to get more speed when working with the video aspect. It still takes a while to do the converting of formats and stuff.

I can not afford the new 3Ghz quad at the moment but was wondering if you think the 3Ghz speed on the duals would be better or the dropping to the 2.33Ghz models with 4 cores would be better.

Thanks for any input.

bump. Just curious as to which aspect is more important for video editing, more cores or the higher cpu speed?
