ok obviously the e6550 C2D is a higher number but is it a better pruchese then the e4400. the core speed diffrence is 1.33ghz but the bus speed is 800 on the e4500 and 1333 on the e6550. I would purchese the e6550 but why is it e6550? it migth be a dumb question but im just wondering because usaly things with a 50 on it mean like its half as powerful then the actual like thing (i.e. nvidia 6150 vs 6200) which do u think i should purchese?

They added 50's to the core 2 line to indicate they're 1333fsb, only reason for it... It's a model number not a speed thing.

oh and 1333mhz is obviuosly faster then 800 but i heard theres some sort of downside liek about the RAM going slower or not being able to be OCed very easily or wut?

All 1333 FSB Chips will OC far better than all other C2D chips.

Earlier C2D will OC to about 3.0-3.2 Ghz before you need serious voltage and soon serious cooling.

The 1333 FSB Chips will OC to 3.6-3.8 before serious voltage increases are required.

The 1333 FSB Chips will also require faster RAM to achieve a good OC than the older chips.

The e4400 is a great chip that will give good results at a good price.

The e6550 can reach much higher speeds but will likely need DDR2-1066 RAM and a good P35 Mobo to reach its full potential.

Purchase the best you can afford. I have over 30 sys in service OC to 3.16G with OEM cooler; no problems to date using E6550, over 100 E4500 OC to 3.1G all on matched MOBO's most with OC GPU's and no real operating problems.
