Heyas,

I'm looking forward into building a new system. The only question i have left is regarding the RAM i'll use with the new system.

Basically, The mobo will be a M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+.

I'm not a hardcore gamer, the video card i'll put in this will probably be a GF8600GT (or GTS) DDR3 edition. So, regarding the ram. First, i don't know what brand to go with, i've always had Kingston memory and never had problems with it. Second, i have no clue what the CL rating means (like 4-4-4-12 T1). So if someone could enlighten me regarding all this.

I'll just put 2 pairs of 1gb i was looking at for my system.

1 - Corsair Dual Channel TWINX 2048MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz E.P.P. Memory (2 x 1024)
2 - OCZ SLI-Ready Edition Dual Channel 2048MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Memory (2 x 1024MB)

As i said earlier, i'm not a performance freak and i don't really want to spend 150$+ (Canadian Dollars) on this. The first choice is very cheap, 89,97$ for both sticks and the OCZ are at 129,97$.

Regards,

Kingston is fine it really doesnt matter, all this talk on 4 4 4 12 or 5 5 5 15 is stupid its just about speed and its so little i dont see the diff.

Two Corsair PC8500 CM2X512-8500 modules is fine or

Thanks for the inputs,

I'm glad the 2gb kits are cheap. I recall paying the same price for 1gb of pc3200 like a year ago.
