How do you know when...?

...the newest latest and greatest hardware upgrades are coming out? As I've been reading through here, I see comments about waiting until November until the price of the 8800GTS will come down since a new line is coming out, and similar comments. My question is how do you know when new products will come out and how much price reductions on existing hardware will be?

I personally check forums, online magazines like Tom's Hardware, Andtech and others. Also keep your eye on press releases from big name companies like Intel, Nvidia, ATI and Asus. Whenever they bring out new stuff the current stuff has to get sold and thus you can pretty much predict to get rid of the current stuff they get reduced in price to make way for the newer technology. Just constantly keep yourself in the know and knowing a group of people who personally are connected to the industry may help. Just basically keep your nose in places like this and others and you will always be at the forefront of information.
