ok so I have decided I really need a new computer after 6 years of use with this old amd 2600...lol.

I dont have much money and I want to be able to use this for a while, I know thats a contradiction but thats the way it is. I can use my old hard drive and my opticals. I was thinking on this:

hmm i would go for intel rather than the 6000+ x2. you can get the e6550 for about the same price and overclock it like mad, will get 3ghz easily, kissing the *** of the 6000+ x2

For this kind of budget, no reason not to get a C2D. Look at the 4400 if you want to overclock, the 6420 if you don't.

I would highly recommend not going with a bundled PSU. A quality brand PSU big enough for your system won't set you back far. 300-400w is easily enough for this system.

If that is your case budget, go with the CoolerMaster Centurion newegg always has it for about $50, free shipping if you're lucky.
