Wireless connection problems

If it is for wireless connection check to see if there is an on/off switch somewhere on one of the sides of the laptop

actually it turned out to be the ethernet controller driver I installed it from a disc and it worked. also the problem on another laptop the wireless switch was on and still no connection,but hitting the fn and f2 keys at the same time fixed that problem,thanks for your replies everyone.
