Hello,
my computer will not go past the screen start in normal mode, safe mode, etc no matter what selection i give it always goes back to that same screen please help i do not have a windows xp disk because i bought this computer second handed and the people i got it off of could not find the disk. it was working fine until it automatically did an update rebooted and when to the screen to start in safe mode etc.. and i cannot get past it somnetimes windows tries to come in i can see it faintly for a sec then i dont see it anymore please help

When the safe mode boot menu comes up, arrow down to the selection to disable the automatic restarts. The screen will look like this.
