This is my setup, i have a computer and a laptop, i have a cable internet connections which is shared throughout the house by being plugged into a D-Link DI-714P+, my main computer is plugged straight into that router and my laptop connects wirelessly through the router.

I can browse the internet on both computers no problems, i can get into the laptop from my main computer as well no problems, works all the time, however if i want to get into the main computer from the laptop, it wont let me in, it finds the computer in my network places, but when i double click on te computer name it brings up an error message saying the computer could not be found.

I am running win98 on both computer btw.

Anybody know how i can get into the main computer from my laptop?

Make sure you have File and and Printer sharing installed on the main computer, it's under the network properties somewhere. Another thing to check is that NETBEUI over TCP/IP is enabled. Sorry, my knowledge of 98 is not too good, these are the things I had to check for my XP machines.
