Is there a way to tell which motherboards support the unlocked multiplier feature to take advantage of overclocking this cpu?
I have an MSI K9VGM-V AM2 socket, and that feature is not available in the bios.
Thanks

I have never overclocked anything.
I have searched different manufacturers sites and while some of them mention overclocking, even reading thru their manuals I don't see this multiplier mentioned.
What spec are you talking about?
If they support unlocked multipliers, will it be mentioned in the MB manual?

Well, the manual may be outdated when new bios comes out. Best place to ask is o/cing forums like this one.

I have the biostar tf560 A+ & yes, it goes up to 25x in bios with my cpu. I'm at 15 x 200 = 3ghz.

Well, I went to replace my MSI K9VGM-V, and I started looking at the MBs listed in THGs review of the AMD 64 X2 5000+ Black Edition. Most of those MBs, according to their manuals or by the BIOS listed, do not support changing the multiplier. I bought an Abit AN52 that does.
