Hmm. I know that some 680i boards are 1333mhz, but not all. Also, even though it is older, the 680i still seems immature compared to the P35 due to all the random overclocking and compatibiliy issues of top 680i boards like the Asus Striker. I got my Gig P35 board with a E6750 to 3.4 overclock easily on air cooling. From my experience, the P35 has had no issues.

Ok

I have a evga 680i and it is 1333 compatible with a flash of the bios

I got a 1333 chip in mine so theres the proof

Secondly - why not

Its got SLI which no p35 motherboard has and third - they rock....

never been a MSI fan anyway always had reliability problems with MSI

and i know im not the only one

also the xfx is a great overclocker

I have the evga 680i as well. I was pleased to see how well it overclock (I have a quad). Yes, it can't support DX10.1, but I have not heard of any video game developers supporting it anyways.

well i had a few issues before but that seems fine now with a BIOS update though they might crop up again
i was just under the impression that the 680i would be more comfortable as its been around long enough thereby getting better response in case of a problem
plus it has a better feature set as compared to my MSI board
i've been trying to replace my MSI board co its been bugging me from day 1..... but then i was into buying another P35 board

but i think i ll switch to the nforce for now

thank you all for responding so quick
