I recently built a new pc and made sure all the fans were quiet. The problem is that the hard drive noise (when reading/writing, not when operating) is really annoying. I searched a bit and found a cheap solution: http://www.overclockers.com/tips454/ . Do you think this is a good idea or are there any problems in building this? I wanted the hard drive to last a few years...

Don't see any thing wrong with it, might want to try it as the method is non destructive.
