With XP pro SP2 and all updates I have one CD burner drive and one DVD
burner drive.
Recently Roxio "Drag to Disk" was inadvertently installed and later
un-installed.
After that I noticed that the Windows CD burner facility was no longer
there.
I checked Services and reset IMAPI to automatic and clicked the Start
icon (thanks to a recent reply to someone else by this group), then for one
drive I clicked properties, selected the Recording tab, and checked the
"Enable CD recording on this drive" box. For that drive I can now "Erase
this CD-RW" and "Write these files to CD". Everything is ok and as it was.
I then checked the enable CD recording box for the second drive. It also
then worked ok. However this enabling of the second drive also disabled this
function for the first drive.
Re-enabling the first drive then disabled the second drive again, and so
on. Both drives worked correctly, but only one at a time can be "enabled" to
record and erase.
My questions are - Can I only have one disk drive at a time set up to
Enable CD recording? Have I messed up omewhere? How can I set up to enable
this feature simultaneously for both drives?
Thank you in advance for any help that anyone may be able to give,
