Greetings:

I made the mistake of removing a second SATA drive from my computer and now the BIOS does not see the first one. If I hit TAB during boot and go into RAID, it does show up but I can not get to it or create a raid or anything. I am not able to get into the Vista Operating System. I put the Vista DVD in and tried to recover the OS. No luck. I had checked other posts and found that it might be necessary to load drivers. I used the motherboard supplied CD for VIA K8M890 but after trying numberous folders, numerous ini files, it didnt' work. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Obviously, your RAID mode is Strip, and the Vista in your two HDDs apart.
You should replace your second SATA HDD at the same SATA port on your mobo. the you can get your Vista back after reboot system. No data will be lost in your HDD.

You also can reconfig your HDD in your BIOS. It is to delete the RAID that you have setup. then, all the data will be lost in your first logic disk. After the RAID remove from your BIOS, the new OS can be install on your single HDD.
