I bought a 8800 GT SSC, It was obviously and painfully too hot for my tastes and that fan is like one of those u pick up at kmarts for 20 bucks just to keep cool because your parents are too cheap to run the ac for a hour...
If anyone wants a CHEAP and super effective cooling go for the
The Zalman VF1000 & RHS 88 will fit the 8800GT
but from reviews & benchies I have seen
The Accelero will cool your 8800 GT better (if you get the dual fans) and save you around $50 dollars
I honestly do not want to post pics just because you do not believe me
Obviously your case sucks for airflow.. because those temperatures are hot!
Its what my temps are, believe me or not ..
I have no reason to lie, i was just giving people ideas
Ok.
I'm wondering how you made the assumuption that my case sucks exactly? I don't even have my 8800gt yet and I made no claim that I had one. I was simply stating I've read reviews and that was the average temps for that card. I will have one in 2 days though.
I was just curious of what you used to moniter your temps and what program you used to moniter the temps under load.
You know you would want to cool the ram & mosfets on the card. What are your idle & load temps? Mine are 59'c & 87'c.
Hey, Can you post me you idle Case temp ? like the mobo temp ?
I'm asking that to compare. I will have my EVGA 8800GT SSC soon and my idle case temp is 23-25 and CPU IDLE is 7 - 9°c with fan cooling (I know it's dawm low , i made a thread regarding that...I just don't get it ) Link
So, Just as a matter of comparison let's say you case is like.... 5 - 10 °c hotter, how it'll afffect the temp of the card. That can be an interesting comparision.
