Hello, i am trying to overclock this cpu, but my bios wont allow me to, because it is a compaq comp so they havent put that option in. is it possible to get a program that is able of OC my cpu and showing the temp at the time?

There is a program called ClockGen which lets you OC your CPU in windows, but its recommended to OC in the BIOS because its alot better.
For temperature, download EVEREST ULTIMATE EDITION and it will show the temps of your CPU

For each CPU its different, for example , my E6600@ 3.2 is 45 @ idle and goes to 65max @ %100 load , u may find some other guy who has his temp lower/higher than me

But anything higher than 70(when @ full load ) will be bad
