How to identify steppings in AMD cpus before purchase

Hi all

2 questions...

In CPU charts i hav seen X2 cpus with EE, lik Athlon X2 4000+ and another that says X2 4000+ EE for both windsor and brisbane cores.
wht does EE stand for?

Also all processors hav steppings mentioned as well, how do we identify steppings based on cpu model numbers?

EE uses 45w instead of 65w.

Are u sure, becuz on AMD website 45W are only 2 processors whch are
BE series.
