You want to restore outlook icon in desktop?? If so,

1. Right-click on the Desktop and click New, Shortcut

2. Type the following command and click Next
"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /mailurl:mailto:

3. Assign a name for the shortcut ("Compose Mail") and click Finish

4. Right-click on the shortcut and click Properties

5. Type a shortcut key combination (say, CTRL+SHIFT+N) in the Shortcut key text box.

6. Click OK.

To launch the New Message window, simply double-click the Desktop shortcut, or use the hotkey you assigned.
