Hi guys....

I have decided on all the parts, but need to make sure these all look good because I am a complete novice. Never built a system before, never even upgraded a computer.

Here are the parts.

CPU = Q6600 with g0 stepping ($310 eBay)

Motherboard = ASUS P5K DELUXE/WIFI-AP LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard ($219 NewEgg)

CPU Cooler = ZALMAN CNPS9500 LED 92mm ($40ish eBay)

Video card = Evga 8800GTS 640mb ($350 eBay used)

Power Supply = Thermaltake Purepower W0129RU ATX12V 600 W Power Supply ($75 after rebate, NewEgg)

Ram = G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) (x2) ($170 NewEgg)

Case = XCLIO Windtunnel ($130 NewEgg)

HardDrive = Western Digital Raptor X WD1500AHFD 150GB 10,000 RPM ($200 NewEgg)

DVD ROM = LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe ($36 NewEgg)

TV Tuner = Hauppauge WINTV-PVR-150 PCI Interface Tuner Card ($80 NewEgg)

My main question is...

1. Is my power supply enough to power all this?
2. I dont really need a sound card since the mobo has one built in correct?
2. Am I missing anything else?

Thank you all in advance for your help.

Hey looks like a good combo, I think you could get a Corsair 520W PSU and be fine with it unless you want to upgrade later on. The Thermaltake PSU is good, but not really great, the Corsair units are better.

You could get this one too: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151027

Seasonic makes really high quality PSUs.

Also if you really want a raptor, I'd save money and get maybe a 36GB raptor drive for your OS and load your games and other files one a cheaper larger Seagate SATA drive. You won't really see a big difference from the raptor besides loading OS. I have one and it doesn't make a difference in games compared to my older SATA drive. Plus you'll have more room of a lot lower cost with the SATA.

If you need any help let me know, msg me on aim or yahoo: Maximus9102

For an extra $30 you can get a brand new 640mb gts 8800... I think you shouldn't buy such things on ebay, but that's just personal preference I guess. I just don't like the idea of buying high end electronics from ebay... (or cars either, but that's neither here nor there)..

The build you've set up does look real nice though, ought to be a lot of fun.
