ga-7n400 and memory crashes

Hi,
I have the Gigabyte ga-7n400 motherboard which has been working fine with a 512 DDR400 memory stick. However I wanted to upgrade and thus bought another 512 stick ( PC3200 DDR400 ) . After installing it crashes XP when booting and reboots the machine over and over. I have tried putting the sticks in slots 1&2 , 1&3 , 2&3 etc ... but they all seemed to crash. If I try either stick on their own it doesn't crash so I don't think the new memory stick is faulty.
I have the F11 Bios update so I don't think it's an issue with that. Can anyone recommend a fix for this or am I doing something wrong ?

Thanks In Advance
Jason

In BIOS, increase the memory voltage to mfg. specs or at least bump the voltage a notch. Set the CAS LAT to 3 if it is not already.

Why would I have to change the memory voltage ? I think it's set to 2.5 which is what is on both pieces of ram.

I'm not sure what "CAS LAT to 3" means ?

Actaully , I think I figured it out. I had to set the memory settings to "AUTO" which seemed to fix it.
