Hey guys. Just bought myself a new set of components and have a teething problem with the mobo. When booting it takes about a minute thirty just to get past the SATA/RAID controller detection. After that everything is perfect but this is a real thorn in my side.

The major parts:

Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R mobo
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750, S775, 2.66
2GB (2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS2, DDR2
PCI-E NVidia 7800GT

Any help?

Yes, agree so use the gigabyte ports for RAID 0

Just looked at the manual again as I was confused. I now see a Bios setting that will change use the Gigabyte SATA controller.

Will try this tonight. Thanks Sycshk :)

I have the same problem. What was your solution ?
Because I don't succeed to configure with de gigabyte sata driver.

Thx Mullie

Well it looked like there is an adhoc RAID system and a Gigabyte setup on the motherboard. It seems we are using the adhoc one which takes forever to boot. I haven't tried switching yet as I will have to reinstall too much.

Please by all means try it and tell me whether it works!
