Smps power rating and GPU power rating ?

hi friends , my SMPS power rating is 450 watts,and i am currently using i5 processor. now if i buy a graphic card of power rating more or less than 450 watts will it effect my PC ? and can anybody recommend me any graphic cards suitable for my 450 watt smps . i can afford upto 200$ .

What is the make/model of the PSU? How many PCIe power connectors does the PSU have? Depending on the PSU a 450W PSU should be able to handle at least an HD6850 GPU. There are significant quality differences in PSUs. If your PSU is a low quality PSU, then I would recommend considering replacing it with a good quality PSU.
