Linux + Razer BoomSlang 2k

I need help, because i cant install linux on my computer due to the fact that both Mandrake 8.0 and Red Hat 7.1 setup don`t recongnize my mouse: Razer BoomSlang 2000. I`ve tried the Default USB mouse option, but in vain...
Any help would be great...

try it with the ps/2 adapter (and choose ps/2...)
