Trouble...shot...me Vista (WZN) lag problems...

I am using a standard Linksys WRT54G router along with a PCI WMP54G adapter...

I am having a problem with the dreaded "60 second lag" using windows vista 64 bit. I am aware of the exact cause of the problem, the WZC (wireless zero configuration).. just as within XP causes vista to roam for another wireless network every 60 seconds, causing a 3 second or so lag that makes gaming impossible.

I have tried WLAN optimizer, and val (Vista anti-lag) to no avail.. I have also tried the netsh wlan set commands... no avail...

I am using a standard WRT54G router along with a PCI WMP54G adapter... I have also tried switching out drivers, and attempting to install the ral drivers, however they came up with nothing but an error.

This is a new gaming comp that I recently assembled, and now am being plagued by a vista problem... I was under the assumption that I'd be able to game on vista decently by now... I have found the registry line that contains this, however changing the key which defines the intreval length appears to have no effect...if someone could possibly solve this I'd be so great full.
