I would like to buy a new system to replace my old P4 2.0
I want to build a cheap system but I want it to be upgradable in a couple of years (phenom maybe) so I thought that my best bet would be AM2 socket.

What would be a good, cheap AM2 motherboard.
I came accross the Asus M2A-VM. Is it a good one?

Thanks for your help!

I bought a -VM asus board, and was horrified at its lack of overclocking adjustments. I later heard that the VM series generally is pretty basic when it comes to ocing. Just a thought.

I believe the ASUS VM boards have onboard video and are microsATA. I have a couple for office machines and they're really good. For gaming, video editing, etc I wouldn't' get the VM. You're probably best off getting a board with the 570 chipset. ASUS has some really nice boards for less than $100.
