I just got a gigabyte N650SLI-DS4 mobo, but I can't connect the 24-pin power connector from my corsair 620hx psu. I've really tried to force it, and it won't go in. I didn't have a problem connecting my old defective evga 680i board to the same psu.

and yes, it is facing the correct direction and both psu and mobo are atx 24 pin... in case anyone asks.

After inspecting each pin, the mobo connector looks fine, but the psu is missing a the wire going to the 17th pin (no little metal hole to connect the pin, but still nothing is blocking it from going through. I really don't know why this isn't connecting. I've inspected everything and none of the pins are bent or anything. The rest of the PSU 24pin power cable is fine.

Anyone have this problem or know what's the problem?
