hard drive for laptop

hi,

I need to increase storage space on my laptop (Toshiba Satellite M70-190) so I decided to buy new HDD. There is a tiny problem though - I do not know which (ATA/Ultra ATA or SATA to buy).

I do not have any documentation, I didn't find any motherboard model No on the back and in the system information there is nothing about SATA contoller:

Disc: TOSHIBA MK4032GSX

Controllers IDE ATA/ATAPI:

intel 82801FB/FBM Ultra ATA Storage Controllers
Basic IDE channel
extra IDE channel

SCSI/RAID Host controller


although I have found this site (http://www.tomshardware.com/2005/11/17/new_toshiba_sata_drives_lack_performance_increase/page3.html) and it looks like I have a very first of SATA drives from Toshiba....

any ideas?

Yes, you have a 2.5" SATA drive. You can drop in any 2.5" SATA drive you want.
