7600GT but which model?

Hi all

recently my poor old 6800GT died on me (sniff) and I have decided to buy 7600GT as a reasonable replacement (still AGP and I dont want to put a lot of money in it cos I'm planning to change whole mashine in a year or so)...
What model would you recommend? Leadtek, XFX, ExpertVision or something else? It has to be AGP and to have reasonable good OC possibilities...

Well get the 256mb version it has gddr3 and it's clocked higher.

I have
AMD 64 3500+
MSI K8T NEO 2-FIR
1GB DDR
ALC 850 on-board

Board is not bad but AGP only
I'm thinking of Leadtek's or Gainward's 7600GTs but not sure which is better... I#m open to suggestions

DDR3, definitely. These things OC like a champ. Mine went from 400 stock to 607 without any voltage increase. The stock voltage on the GT is higher, so you should be able to really crank it up. Enjoy it. I think the 7600 GT would fit your system nicely.

Gainward is the same price as leadtek but has 3 years warranty not 2 like leadtek.

How long do you expect this computer to still be adequate for games (except legacy). Just pick a maker and it should be fine.

I think the other guys covered it really you want to get a 7600gt with gddr3 and you will only need 256 as the card isnt powerful enough to make use of 512.
