MPEG-2 Decoder

Hello,
I can play CD's, burn CD's & DVD's but when I play a DVD movie I receive an error telling me I have no MPEG -2 Decoder. Is this a sortware or hardware issue and how do I resolve it? Thanks

Have you installed Windows Media Player, or any other DVD player software, e.g., Nero Showtime, PowerDVD? Those packages usually have video codecs and MPEG-X decoders for video playback.

Yes, I have Windows Media Player, InterAcual and VLC Media. I loaded Microsofts Windows Media Player XP video decoder checkup utility and it says, no decoder found. Strange that I have three video player that will allow me to play music but not DVD's.
