Problems with PC working properly, Want to remove Mcafee

Last response: in Windows Vista

I recently updated my Norton Security to the 2011 version. Months ago as I uploaded the Adobe Reader, Mcafee Scanning plus also uploaded. I hadn't noticed any problems with my PC until today. I kept getting an error message: Logon failed to create security options dialog. My PC has been freezing. I believe its due to there being both Mcafee and the new Norton software, I don't really want this Mcafee, so hopefully someone can assist me on getting it removed.

thanks in advance

Click Start. In the Search Box type in Control Panel and open Programs and Features. Right click on Mcafee AV and choose uninstall. Never install more than one AV at time. Microsoft provides free AV if Norton gives problems.
