but im probably buying new one(HDD) with SATA II connection , so do i need extra cables to connect SATA II HDD?

Really cheap about $3.00 dollars, most come with the HDD.

Yes. If you buy the drive in a box, it will probably come with a SATA data cable. Some SATA hard drives can use either the old IDE type power plug or the new SATA power connector - just don't use both at the same time.

Only if you buy the more expensive retail HDs. Most SATA cables come with the motherboard, realistically.
