Three Questions

First -
I will try to ask this as "non-stupid" as i can.

I have a 32 Bit OS. Which PC component needs to match that (MB, Processor, or Graphics Card)?

I heard that the processor needs to match the bit size of your OS.

Second -

See the two graphics cards below. Can both run a 32 bit OS?

Third -

Here is a comparison of two Graphics cards...

One is
Core Clock - 550mhz , Memory Clock 1600MHZ

The other is
Core Clock 580mhz, Memory Clock is 1700mhz (effective)

Will that make much difference?

The CPU, mobo, and RAM have to be matched. If you're getting a new CPU and mobo, you'll need DDR2 RAM. Best way to find out what RAM is compatible with you're mobo is to go the the RAM mfg website and enter the mfg and model of your mobo and the site will give you a list of compatible RAM. As far as I know, all hardware including those cards will run on a 32 bit OS. Can't help with number 3 but if you're really that interested, google memory articles or something similar, there are a lot of articles on memory that will explain this. Are you planning on building?

1) Any computer with a PCI-E (perferrably, x16) slot is capable of running that card.

2) Yes, both can run on a 32-bit OR 64-bit operating system; graphics cards will run on any-bit OS, provided that the company provides the drivers for that bit operating system.

3) No, that will make hardly any difference at all in actual performance. Save the $10 and go for the cheaper card.

I am sorry, my question one was incomplete.

I have a 32 Bit WINDOWS XP OS....does the processor have to be a 32 bit as well? I heard that whether the OS is 32 or 64, your Processor has to match that bit size

64-bit processors (most modern ones) can run 32 and 64 bit OSs. However, 32 bit processors (like mine) can ONLY run 32 bit OS (Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 - 32 bit, in my case). Why do you ask these questions, what's the plan, upgrade, new build, compatability issues? Elaborate...
