I have just recently bought an internal hard drive the WD7500AAKS. I was wondering if its possiable to make it external. Is there anywhere online where I can buy a case with power to make it external. For example. I also have the 1TB WD. Is there a way to convert the 750GB Internal Hard Drive and make it External? Or should I just sell it and buy an external?

Make sure the internal connection of the case is the same as the hdd data connection, ATA or SATA. Most case that have eSATA come with an eSATA card. Unless you're running something of the external, e.g., playing your musicor video from the external, USB will be fine for just back up. Make sure it has a power connector, you don't want to power off the USB. Be sure it's a 3.5 case, sounds obvious, but the first one I ordered was a 2.5 :pt1cable:
