Well I just bought a new EVGA 8800 GTS. Popped it in pre-format and it ran great in 3DMark06. I reformatted, cause I was long overdue and had some vacation time. I reinstalled windows xp, installed M$'s dual core hotfix, installed the newest chipset drivers, BIOS, and peripheral drivers.

Now I ran 3DMark06 and my SM2.0 and HDR/SM3.0 scores are fine, but my CPU score is waaay low. In real world gaming graphics are fine and run smoothly, but when the CPU attempts to load a new scene, or otherwise uses the CPU for a significant task, it will freeze for a couple of seconds and continue. Super PI is taking about double the time it use to, before my 1M time was 12-15 seconds, now I am in the 32 second range.

I also noticed this and don't know exactly what it might mean in the 3DMark06 .xml results page:

VGA Memory Clock 297 MHz
VGA Core Clock 108 MHz
Max VGA Memory Clock 0 Hz
Max VGA Core Clock 0 Hz

My temps with Orthos (blended test) are in the mid 50C's and my graphics card temps are within normal temps after running for an hour and have no errors. I have attached a .rar file with the system details and scores of my last 3DMark06 test. Any advise is greatly appreciated since I am running out of ideas myself

Here is a link to another thread with the .zip file results attached, I couldn't figure out how to attach a file on this forum, sorry. http://www.bleedinedge.com/forum/s [...] hp?t=32674
