IP35-E and Scythe Infinity? Another fitting question

With and without the pun, basically the same question. I have a Scythe Infinity and I'd like to be assured that it can fit onto a IP35-E. So, will it work properly (with the wider measurement going east-west)? Any problems that I've not yet seen?

Not sure on the measurements, but remember that any side-draft-style CPU cooler won't cool MB components adjacent to the CPU; if the MB is designed to require the cooling the downdraft-style coolers like the OEM Intel one provide, you may have overheating issues.

I'd be careful. After reading reviews, the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro (which has a similar design to the infinity; infinity is actually bigger I think) does NOT fit on the IP35-E.

I'm going to reference some of the "approved" boards with the IP35-E... basically measure the distance between heatsinks and other high-standing parts.

It actually does just if you are very careful or carry out minor surgery to the fan mounting.
