Hi first of all hi all, as i am new to the threads.

Question : I have a EZCOOL super silent 550w jsp PSU and need to know if this would run the ATI HD 6900 XT card ?

The reason i ask this as i am not sure of the power compsumption as well as i have the correct leads from the psu all i can say is that there is a 4 pin pcie lead that runs from it which i plug to my motherboard which is a Abit AB9 Quad Gt motherboard and the graphics card im using is a mere Ati x800 gto..

Please with thanks in advance.. someone tell me if the PSU i have can run the card if so would i need any type of adapter?
Thanks...

I assume you are talking about the 2900xt or 2600xt cards,

The 2600xt uses 1 6pin PCIE connector. the 2900xt uses a 6pin and an 8pin PCIE connectors.

The 4 pin square is a MB connector not for graphics cards.

I have seen adapters for 4pin Molex (four in wires in a row) to the 6 pin (3x2) But I have not seen a molex to 8pin. I dont think you have to have an 8pin for the 2900 i think you can put a 6pin in there. I think they come with some cards.

Your PSU would run the 2600xt well with the adapter. The 2900xt would probably work but I feel that is just too many adapters.
