I have a Anaconda External USB2.0 drive connected to a Dell Optiplex GX280. The problem is that the drive is not picked up by the OS unless I cycle the power on the drive unit. any suggestions on resolving the manual process, or do I need to get a better inclosure?

From what I can find the GX280 is usb 2.0 so shouldn't be a problem there. If you put the drive on a different computer does it do the same thing? If not then I would say the enclosure is ok. If it does have problems then exchange the enclosure for a new or different one.

yea just turn the drive on after you boot your computer then you won't have any trouble.
