With so many different opinions on what temperatures you should run the CPU at, I thought it would be interesting to see what most users have the CPU iding at.....

This for for AMD Athlon X2 chips. I just made up a range of temps...

Mines at 31-32 IDLE with 400Mhz o/c, 28 before. Setup as said in Sig.

Perhaps one factor should be what method of cooling is being used ?

Mines cooled with Antec 900 & Thermalright 120 Ultra x1 fan mounted horizontally, with a bit of help from good old Blighty weather .

I have the 9700. Just waiting for my Asus mobo to be returned from RMA. While waiting for the board, I bought the Antec 900, a fan controller, a 133 cfm ultra kaze, a 5000 Black Box, and have started to lap my 9700. As soon as I have everything assembled I'll report my temps.

mine runs at 25 C. at idle. i have a thermaltake V1 cooler. and an antec 900 case.

31-33 C Idle (w/ temp off-sets in SpeedFan). Stock cooler /w mediocore case... waiting for Friday to buy the Antec 900.

30 C idle, 49 C FULL load, 18.89 C room temp

system comprised of:
- Athlon 64 X2 4400+ (939) @ 2.75ghz
- Biostar TForce4 SLI
- 2gb OCZ Platinum pc3200 @ DDR500 2.5-3-2-5 2T
- 2x EVGA 7900 GS KO @ 590mhz core/790mhz memory
- 2x Masscool 120mm fans, intake/exhaust
- 1 Ultra 80mm fan, exhaust
- Zalman CNPS 9500

40c idle 55c 100% stock cooler

at idle 23 - 30 C
at full load 35 - 45 C

my system :
AMD Black edition 5000+ with Arctic cooler 64 Pro
OC'd at 3.01

2 GBs G.Skill DDR2 ram

2 80mm exhaust fans

1 small cpu fan intake

1 cooler master jet engine intake fan

and it took me a long to to get a perfect airflow
alot of custom/bootleg work


if you look at my computer its soo bootleg with zippy ties

but hey what ever works right?

My idle temp is 33C with a stock AMD CPU fan

how do I get my CPU to run at 3.4GHz stable? AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000

By they way my CPU Idles at about 34Cel
