So i got my XFX 8600GT 256mb but I saw after I bought it it's the 128bit version. My question is, compared to the 256 bit how deafening is the performance going to be? Should I return it and buy the 256 bit? What happened to tomshardware compare video cards thing? thanks!

It's pretty clear what we are talking about here. How does the 128bit version compare to the 256bit version is the question. It has been answering by Jwolf/Cleeve whom said there isn't a 256bit version.

"Hello" lied the politician

Yea my bad i read 256mb and the other numbers just went in as mb not bits (14 hour night shift will do that to you) hence my confusion. That and we had another thread where the two got confused the other day which is mainly why i asked. so instead of the sarky reply you could just have.
A. Not answered
B. Answered it properly
Read what you put again and hopefully you will see how it could come across Arrogant/sarcastic.
Im not suggesting for one minute that you intended it to.
Sorry if the frankness of my reply upsets you but we get in to pages of arguments through this kind of stuff which when you get right down to it isn't necessary
