I'm building a new gaming rig and plan on OCing a Q6600 to the 3-3.2 range.

I plan on starting with one 8800 GTX and moving to SLi when I get the appropriate monitor for it.

I have always used Asus and Gigabyte and want to make sure eVGA has a decent product. Anyone have experience using the board and also is it a good candidate for OCing?

in a word, and you only need one.... YES!

I own one personally, and i can say unhesitatingly that it is a great OCing candidate for the Q6600.

The seperate from the FSB MCH is great, so you can run you cpu at weird FSB's without worrying that the RAM is gonna give on you..

also the fact that it supports 1333FSB is a plus considering that equals 3.0Ghz without even stressing the board passed it limits.

btw i am @ 3.0ghz Q6600

Overclocking the CPU and memory is a breeze with this board. DO NOT use nTune. The software does not work.

I have the Q6600 (B3 Stepping), and, unfortunately, the CPU started blowing chunks above 3.2 GHz. Right now I'm pretty stable using the Zalman CNPS9700. Idle 37 C. Load 62 C.
