I've searched around but cannot find almost any info on this. Anyone know of any current motherboards that support onboard s-video tv-out. if not, are there vga to s-video adapters (or even vga to composite/component) that will actually work for tv-out... researching that it seemed like unless the vga port supports tv-out, regardless of the adapter it wouldn't work... guessing due to a lack of support in the video card drivers?
Generally I want to hook the motherboard up to my tv, i've got some composite (rca) ports i could likely use if i rewired a thing or 2, and 1 component port... but i'd prefer to stick with s-video.
i know there's a slew of video cards i could throw into my rig that will do what i need, but i'm going for a very minimal energy footprint and as few additional cards (especially video) as possible.
It'd also be nice if the motherboard supported one of the shiny new quad-core intels and at least 4gb of ddr2... aside from using it as a media server it'll be mostly used to run a handful of vm's. but really, i'll settle on what is available if a onboard s-video (or composite/component) tv-out mobo exists. Any help would be immensely appreciated.
