HD 2900XT + 1920x1200

Alright... For those of you have have read my last post. I get a great deal on an HD 2900XT 512DDR3 and I'm just about ready to bite the bullet. But before I do and so I don't run into any surprises, how do you guys think it will perform on a Dell 2407WFP-HC (1920x1200).

Games that I would be playing would be GRAW2, RS: Vegas, CS:S, HL2, and maybe looking at playing some newer games.

it will perform very well on 1920x1200 ,

All i can say is have fun
should have not problems.....make sure you get the newest drivers, as they are optimized to hell(big improvements over what the cd with the card will have...)...

yeah, I'll second that since apparently the latest catalyst drivers are insane(ly good)

Unless you like running at 20-40 fps area, I'd suggest you get a second one to crossfire. Just saying because I cant stand FPS constantly dipping in 20-30s on shooters, only exception is MoH: Airborne with the nice motion blur effect.

it should run great at 1920X1200, My 8800GTS runs everything flawlessly 80 FPS or so in that res.. the 2900XT is faster than my GTS in most things. Dunno what Emp is talking about 20-40FPS, maybe if your cpu cant push it..

Well I've never EVER seen a GTS running R6 Vegas on 80fps on max settings at 1280x1024 let alone 1920x1200.

That would be an exception.. Its a crappy console port.

GRAW will run at 70fps on 1280x1024, but I don't think at 1920x1200... that's a VERY heavy res after all..

You won't see than on an 8800Ultra, but that's because the game is an awful console port. Stranglehold is supposed to be even worse, but I'm not going to bother downloading the demo; a 2GB version of a demo I already played on the 360 a month ago.
